I'm a behavioral scientist solving problems that involve humans and data.
I lead the Behavioral Science Lab @ELTE where I also work as an Assistant Professor. In 2024, I was a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard Business School.
I'm the founder of the Behavioral Science For Common Good Center and an external expert at the Metascience Lab.

Short bio
I have obtained a dual degree in psychology and economics and finished my Ph.D. in experimental psychology in 2018.
Since then, I investigated a wide range of topics. In most scientific projects, I'm searching for the answers to the following questions:
How can we build more effective, generalizable, and lasting behavioral change interventions?
How do inequality and poverty affect people's cognition, behavior, attitudes, and decisions?
How can we improve the way science is done?
As a lead author, I published in top psychology and social science journals such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Nature Human Behaviour, Journal of Behavioral Decision Making, and Life, altogether having +35 published peer-reviewed papers.
I won several scholarships and awards including the Fulbright Scholarship (2 times), the Scholarship of the Hungarian Central Bank, the National Excellence Program, Bolyai, Campus Mundi, Eötvös, Rosztóczy, the Promising Researcher at ELTE and the Roska Tamas awards.
I was a visiting student researcher at Columbia University in 2017/18 and I'm a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Harvard Business School for the academic year 2023/24.

I was raised in a small village in southern Hungary, located at the country’s lowest geographical point, as the oldest of five children.
During high school, I was a member of the national team at the 'Latin Language Olympiad' in Italy. It was fun.
At the age of 19, I embarked on a year-long hitchhiking journey across Europe and North Africa with basically no money.
I cut my hair for myself.
Prior to academia, I worked as a product manager for a high-tech company that was acquired by Apple also founded my own start-up employing 10 individuals.
Since 2021, I have been running approx. 1000 kilometers annually with an elevation gain equivalent to twice the height of Mount Everest.
I am one of the co-founders of a Hungarian folk dance group.
My great-great-grandfather lost his life in a train accident, which resulted in his beheading by the door of the train.
I wrote a song about one of my best friends, who also helped me set up this website.
My scientific bloodline goes back to Charles Darwin, specifically, I'm his great-great-great-great grandson.
